“I am pleased to make the following clergy announcements:

Effective June 1, 2026:

Reverend Gabriel Cisneros Campos is relieved of his assignment as associate pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Ruston; its missions- St. Lucy Church in Hodge and St. Benedict Church in Grambling; and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Farmerville. He is appointed pastoral administrator of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Ruston and its missions, St. Lucy Church in Hodge and St. Benedict Church in Grambling.

Very Reverend Monsignor Matthew T. Long is relieved of his assignments as pastor of St. Jude Parish in Benton; St. Pius X Parish in Shreveport; and its mission, St. Clement Church in Vivian. He is appointed Head of School at St. Frederick High School in Monroe, and will reside at Our Lady of Fatima Rectory in Monroe as “priest in residence.”

Reverend Calistus Barasa Makokha, FMH has been appointed associate pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Farmerville. He will continue serving as associate pastor of St. Paschal Parish in West Monroe, Little Flower of Jesus Parish and St. Matthew Parish in Monroe, and Sacred Heart Church in Rayville.

Reverend Joseph A. Martina, Jr. is relieved of his assignment as sacramental minister of St. Frederick High School, while continuing as pastor of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Monroe, and Sacred Heart Church, Rayville.

Reverend Kevin J. Mues is relieved of his assignment as pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Ruston and its missions- St. Lucy Church in Hodge, St. Benedict Church in Grambling, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Farmerville- and is appointed pastor of St. Jude Parish in Benton and St. Pius X Parish in Shreveport, along with its mission, St. Clement Church in Vivian.

Reverend Nicholas Owino Onyach, FMH is appointed pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Farmerville, while continuing as pastor of St. Paschal Parish, West Monroe.
