“In light of the recent violence that has affected our community, I write to invite you to join us as we come together in faith, solidarity, and hope,” said Reverend Raney Johnson, Rector of the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans. “We will gather to pray for the victims, to commend them to the love and light of God, and to seek healing for all who suffer from the wounds this has caused.”

The Diocese welcomes people of all faiths to join in this witness of peace. Father Raney emphasized that in times of heavy grief and fear, it is vital for the community to stand together.

“United in prayer, we can offer our community a sign of hope,” Father Raney continued. “I know that our shared presence will speak powerfully of the unity we have and our common mission to uphold the dignity of every human person.”
