  • Share in the ministry of the church through dialogue with pastors, councils and parishioners.
  • Enable Catholic Lay people to exercise the ministry of the church through lay leadership formation.
  • Promote subsidiarity.
  • Assist Diocesan leadership in discerning and responding to the pastoral needs of the Diocese.

Concept of Servant Leadership

  • Christ said, “I come not to be served but to serve.”
  • Service to ministry in Church is a call from God to “Come follow me.”
  • Oversee the implementation of the Pastoral Plan.

Concept of Stewardship

  • Assist in building up the Body of Christ and being  a witness to Christ.
  • Identify the resources of time, talent and treasure.
  • Address the needs of the faithful in the diocese.
  • Evaluate the implementation of the Diocesan Pastoral Plan.
  • Monitor the Diocesan Pastoral Plan.

Concept of Education

  • Organize Leadership Formation Conferences and Convention of Councils.
  • Participate in regional and national conferences, symposiums and exchange of ideas.
  • Assist in the formulation and evaluation of policies and guidelines.
  • Design, develop and implement orientation programs for parish leaders.
  • Interact with pastors, councils, and parishioners at deanery and diocesan levels.

 Concept of Partnership

  • Affirm mutual relationships in a shared call to ministry.
  • Foster the strengthening of parish leadership.
  • Encourage continuation of the Mission of the Diocese and the Universal Church.
  • Develop goals and objectives with the clergy and the faithful.
  • Assist current Diocesan Leadership in discerning the pastoral needs of the people  of God.  

 

Subsidiarity – whereby a community of a higher order should not interfere in the internal life of a community of a lower order, depriving the latter of its functions, but rather should support it in case of need and help to co-ordinate its activity with the activities of the rest of society, always with a view to the common good.
