Through affiliations with associations, the Diocese is able to tap into many resources on both regional and national levels.  These associations seek to identify and promote models of pastoral leadership that are being put into place to nurture and  sustain vibrant parish communities.

The  national organizations are eager  for participation from our Diocese in their symposiums,  conferences and listening sessions.

National Affiliations Include:

  • The National Association for Lay Ministry
  • Conference for Pastoral Planning and Council Development
  • National Association of Church Personnel Administrators
  • National Association of Diaconate Directors
  • National Catholic Young Adult Ministry Association
  • National Federation of Priests Councils

All of these conferences and organizations have come together to participate in a joint project  known as the “Emerging Models of Pastoral Leadership” funded by the Lilly Endowment, Inc. in the  “Sustaining Pastoral Excellence Program.”

The Office of Mission Effectiveness is participating in the Emerging Models Program.
