If you are interpreting, signing songs, or know some signs and would like to learn more, a group of interested people are meeting at the Broadmoor Branch Library on Saturday, January 10, 2009 from 10 am until 12 pm. Come, meet and learn and share/spread your faith. The location of the library is 1212 Captain Shreve Dr., Shreveport, LA 71105. Welcome to Deaf Faith Ministry!
This web page is designed with you in mind, with information and resources to help and guide you on your spiritual journey of faith.
In the coming months, there will be a lot of exciting new updates as well as upcoming events, such as the "Open House" set for May 10, 2008. | Sign Language Class |

The Diocese of Shreveport in conjunction with the Hands of Praise Deaf Ministry and the members of the Northwest Louisiana Deaf Community will be offering a sign language class for hearing persons interested in communicating with the Deaf. The class will also be a gateway for those interested in interpreting in the religious setting. It is set to begin (Thursdays) February 5, 2009 through April 30. There will not be a class during Holy Week, which is April 9 (Holy Thursday). Mark your calendars now. The class will be held at the Hands of Praise Deaf Ministry building, located at 521 Barksdale Blvd., Bossier City. Map |
