New videos at the Slattery Library
Have you checked out our videos lately? We have increased the scope of our collection of VHS tapes and DVDs. We have added many new movies including: Premonition, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Daddy Daycare, Bewitched and The Last Mimzy; as well as some classics: Fiddler on the Roof, King of Kings, Joan of Arc, The Agony and the Ecstacy and Gone with the Wind. We have several self-help videos about anger management, end of life concerns and centering prayer. If you enjoy the animated movies by Pixar, DreamWorks, Warner Brothers, Disney, etc. we have begun collecting them for your family entertainment. You may like Bee Movie, Over the Hedge, Madagascar, The Ant Bully and Happy Feet. Are you a fan of the 60s? We have several of the the great sitcoms from that era. How about learning more about the saints with: Saint Rita, Saint John Bosco, Brother Sun, Sister Moon (St. Francis of Assisi), St. Peter and the Footprints of God series. As you can see, we have a great variety of movies, so come on in and “Check us out!”
Commemorative Booklets for Pope Benedict XVI’s US Visit
In honor of Pope Benedict XVI’s first visit to the United States in April of 2008, the Slattery Library has purchased Commemorative Booklets of his visit, Prayer Cards and Bookmarks. Please stop by the library between 8:30 and 4:30, Monday through Friday, to get any one of these. As they say, free while supplies last!
